Urban Agrifood Hackathon With USAID, Peres Center, And Kfar Qasem

As part of a bigger educational project in Kfar Qasem managed by Peres Center for Peace and supported by USAID, we have been selected to run an Urban Agritech Hackathon.

About 12 teams from all Israeli geographies have gathered in Kfar Qasem, an Israeli Arab town, to participate in this hackathon. The project was so successful that we’ve been requested to advise and further help 2 projects for creating a pilot / prototype of their project.

The two winners were:

2.TerraBox
A small and simple system designed to empower restaurants by enabling them to grow their own high-quality Mycorrhizal mushrooms, particularly Black Truffles,
